About the Movie
Redefining the traditional scope of documentary film in an electronic age, 65_RedRoses leaves viewers with a new appreciation of life and the digital world. This personal and touching journey takes an unflinching look into the lives of Eva Markvoort and her two online friends who are all battling cystic fibrosis (CF) – a fatal genetic disease affecting the lungs and digestive system. Unable to meet in person because of the spread of infections and super bugs, the girls have become each other’s lifelines through the Internet, providing unconditional love, support and understanding long after visiting hours are over. Now at a critical turning point in their lives, the film travels the distance the friends cannot go themselves, capturing the compelling and often heartbreaking realities they face, just trying to take each breath.
Love this documentary.
I am 16 years old and I also have Cystic Fibrosis. Seeing this documentary just gave me a wake up call to really start doing my medicines, because I had fallen short on my medications, after seeing this, it pretty much gave me a reality wake up call. I need to continue to do my medications right and keep fighting this disease and keep raising awareness and money until we find a cure! It's coming soon I know! I believe!! :) Eva is so inspiring. She was amazing. R.I.P Beautiful Eva.
SHARE this documentary!! A must see for everyone to watch! More people need to know about living life with Cystic Fibrosis and life as a parent. It's great to know we are far from being alone and that every treatment matters. Just breath.
I also have CF and I love this movie bc people get to see our life with no filter, they get the good, the bad, and the ugly. Some illnesses have a silver lining or even a good out come but ours isn't so lucky. Not saying ours is worst then anyone else's but if u saw the movie you'll see we fight til the end bc threw it all weather we try to give up or down right give it our all we are who we are and death comes for us all
