About the Movie
Leo and Marlon are trapped in their lives, working dead-end jobs, trying to find some way to make things exciting. The best idea they’ve come up with is a heist. They break into the “perfect” house, but accidentally arm the alarm system. So now they have to break out of the house they just broke into. When they discover an unexpected housesitter, they suddenly have to deal with a series of new problems: a hostage situation, double crosses, sexual tensions, and discoveries that make their difficult escape even more dubious. The three unlikely allies have to learn about one another, try to figure out who can be trusted, and find some way to work together to break out of this house.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: First-time filmmaker Jason Headley, directing from his own screenplay, keeps his concoction moving briskly and humorously, with a light sprinkling of acceptably sweet sentimentality here and there.
Fresh: "A Bad Idea Gone Wrong" is like a decent late-night supper thrown together with random items from the back of the fridge and a cupboard or two. It can be a nice surprise, but show up too hungry and you might be left wanting.
Fresh: The screenplay consistently produces moments that induce chuckles, if not belly laughs. There's also just enough well-earned sentiment thrown in to provide a nice counterpoint to the farcical humor.
Saw this at Dallas Film Festival last April
What a great and funny comedy with a cast of actors that keep you laughing.
My husband and I watched this on date night and it was so good. We haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. What a great movie!
Stupid is not funny
These two bozos should be in Trump's cabinet. That's not funny either. Dumb and Dumber meets Home Alone. If you like bad sitcoms you'll love this film.
