The Academy Award-nominated A CAT IN PARIS is a beautifully hand-drawn caper set in the shadow-drenched alleyways of Paris. Dino is a cat that leads a double life. By day he lives with Zoë, a little girl whose mother is a detective in the Parisian police force. But at night Dino sneaks out the window to work with Nico–a slinky cat burglar with a big heart, whose fluid movements are poetry in motion as he evades captors and slips and swishes from rooftop to rooftop across the Paris skyline. A CAT IN PARIS is a delightful animated adventure perfect for both adults and children–a witty and stylish “animated noir” with a jazzy soundtrack featuring Billie Holiday and a thrilling climax on top of Notre Dame cathedral. Featuring the voices of Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River, Into the Wild, Miller's Crossing, Magic in the Moonlight), Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston (The Royal Tenenbaums, The Witches, The Addams Family, The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, Tinker Bell) and Matthew Modine (The Dark Knight Rises, Memphis Belle, Married to the Mob, Vision Quest).

Fresh: A nifty little caper in which blustery gangsters, intrepid detectives, cat burglars (one of them literally feline) and a little girl named Zoe scamper across nighttime rooftops unraveling a pleasantly tangled plot.
Fresh: There are wild chases and fever dreams, and sometimes the thieving and the thieves become a muddle. But the animation of A Cat in Paris itself is so artful, it steals the day.
Rotten: Unoriginal and mired in bad jokes.
Fresh: There's hardly a frame wasted here.
I will rent it when it's available with the original French dialogue.
Both myself and my husband thought this would be a nice change from the typical animated movies we watch. It was a hit with all of us. Great story. I am going to purchase the film we enjoyed it so much.
it came out as very limited theater release but saw the trailer and had to rent it when it came out. very good work on the animation for expression and charming story . well worth the wait
