About the Movie
Four career cons just committed the crime of the century. But when a double-cross leaves their loot in limbo, it’s up to one American temptress (Jamie Lee Curtis) to convince one English lawyer (John Cleese) to reveal its location. Monty Python veteran John Cleese co-wrote and co-stars in this hilarious tale of lust, sex, murder and seafood, which won an Academy Award for Kevin Kline for his performance as an unhinged hitman. Also starring Python veteran Michael Palin, A Fish Called Wanda is “a deliciously dishy comedy” (Washington Post).

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Wanda defies gravity, in both senses of the word, and redefines a great comic tradition.
Fresh: Though it is less tasteless, irreverent and satirical than the Python pics, film still is wacky and occasionally outrageous in its own, distinctly British way.
Fresh: Low comedy at high speed, it pretends to be a caper movie about a smooth London jewel heist and its infinitely complex aftermath. Actually, it's a smart farce about ingrained cultural differences.
Fresh: The movie's basic joke holds that the overbearing, unselfconscious Americans will do anything and say anything (and usually as loudly as possible), while the timorous British are nearly too polite to breathe.
one of the greatest of all time
A Fish Called Wanda is one of the best comedy movies ever. I highly recommend it. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.
Probably the funniest movie ever
Oh my god this is such a funny movie. Everything about it is hillarious. From dying animals to court cases to Wanda, anything that you will view in this movie is garruanteed to make you laugh. Who says old movies can't be good?
Hilarious movie (even if it is a little mean...which is sort of the point) with great dialogue and great acting, especially from Kline who is completely over the top and deservedly won an Oscar
