About the Movie
Based on the international best-selling book, A STREET CAT NAMED BOB is a moving and uplifting feel-good true story. When James Bowen finds an injured ginger street cat curled up in the hallway of his sheltered accommodation, he has no idea just how much his life is about to change. James lives hand to mouth on the streets of London and the last thing he needs is a pet. Yet James can’t resist helping the strikingly intelligent tom cat, whom he quickly christens Bob. He slowly nurses Bob back to health and then sends the cat on his way, imagining he will never see him again. But Bob has other ideas. Soon the two are inseparable and their diverse, comic and occasionally dangerous adventures transform both their lives, slowly healing the scars of each other's troubled pasts.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: A savvy exercise in inspirational feel-good cinema lightly seasoned with grit.
Fresh: Treadaway may be sympathetic and charming as the struggling musician, but this is Bob's show, all the way.
Fresh: A rewardingly unassuming, tough and tender portrait of a drug-addicted London busker whose ill-fated life takes a surprising turn after a ginger tabby turns up in his kitchen.
Rotten: Cute little fellow, but unfortunately, the film in which he stars is little more than catnip.
Special movie of how angels come in all shapes, sizes, and species. Love the tagline: "sometimes it takes 9 lives to save one". This movie is a must see. Based on a true story and very up lifting. Luke Treadaway (who plays James Bowen) and Bob (played by the real Bob) were both spectacular in their performances. This biopic story of hope will definitely warm your heart and your soul.

Great from the start. Being a pet owner myself and also having my issues in life... this film hit home. Highly recommended.
