Plot Summary

Aaron Karo goes hard or he doesn't go at all. That much is evident in this all-new special from the author and comedian of Ruminations fame, who returns to New York City where his stand-up career began and floors the boisterous Gramercy Theatre crowd. Beginning with a cautionary tale about drinking a bit too much punch, continuing with the pitfalls of officiating a friend's wedding, and climaxing – both figuratively and literally – with a one-night stand gone so awry he dislocates his shoulder, Karo pushes the envelope with gut-busting results. Both longtime fans and the newly converted will marvel at the increasingly outrageous situations Karo finds himself in – and the sublimely entertaining manner in which he recounts the insanity.

Customer Reviews

Hysterical and too true for comfort!!

I own Karo's two previous albums - Just Go Talk to Her and The Rest Is History - and it is fair to say that I Need to Tell You Something somehow manages to top them both. Unlike his Ruminations columns, Karo's stand-up doesn't have too much "observational" humor. It's more storytelling - and the stories are hilarious. But most of all, they are relatable to anyone, say, 21 to 35 years old. There's tales of online dating, getting invited to myriad weddings, and sexual escapades gone ridiculous. The crowd loves Karo, Karo loves the crowd, and this special once again bolsters his standing as the funniest voice of our generation. Highly recommended!!
