About the Movie

The night after another unsatisfactory New Year party, Tim’s (Domhnall Gleeson) father (Bill Nighy) tells his son that the men in his family have always had the ability to travel through time. Tim can’t change history, but he can change what happens and has happened in his own life - so he decides to make his world a better getting a girlfriend (Rachel McAdams). But as his unusual life progresses, Tim finds out that his unique gift can’t save him from the sorrows and ups and downs that affect all families, everywhere. From filmmaker Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral), About Time is a comedy about love and time travel, which discovers that, in the end, making the most of life may not need time travel at all.

im so tired of rachel mcadams

look this movie seems like a knock off of the time travelers wife. its pretty much the same thing. rachel mcadams is so beautiful yet she always stars in sappy films like this. i like her more in the sherlock movies :)

Brilliant British Movie

First thing's first, if you don't get British comedies then maybe give this movie a pass because it is fabulously British! Some people seem to be worried about Rachel McAdams' role but she isn't as central to the plot as she seems in the ads. Give it chance, it's one of the best films I've seen all year, and now one of my favourites. It has great acting, great comedy, sadness, and a good story line (if you don't think about it too hard because there are some cracks).

Quirky, Emotional, Hilarious: A must see.

Huge fan of Brit films, especially from Richard Curtis. Watched this at Savannah Film Festival and loved it. Everyone was trying to keep it together at the end. Which was near impossible. Script is bonkers in so many ways and will have you laughing out loud.. a lot. Great cast. Great script. Yes soppy in sections etc. but there’s enough grit and real, honest moments acted by some of the best with ease and grace (of course) that more than makes up for it. There’s quite a few of us out there that should take a note from this film...
