About the Movie

Now on Digital HD. From visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov comes this visceral, satisfying thriller based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s bestseller. Benjamin Walker turns in a killer performance as Abraham Lincoln, who must risk the presidency, his family and his life to protect America from bloodthirsty vampires. Lead by the diabolical Adam (Rufus Sewell), the vicious creatures plot to create a nation of their own – the U.S.! Thrust into an epic fight against the hideous undead killers, Lincoln must rely on those around him. But it’s unclear who he can trust in this white-knuckle adventure that’s ablaze with plot twists, blood-pumping action and spectacular effects!

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The movie plays safe by cutting every theme down the middle - a swing that's effective when splitting wood or vampire skulls, but dull when applied to filmmaking. – Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly, Jun 24, 2012

Rotten: The violence quickly becomes numbing, and Benjamin Walker plays Lincoln without the sense of irony needed to keep the historical and supernatural sides of the story consistently entertaining. – Bruce Diones, New Yorker, Jul 2, 2012

Rotten: Not just a letdown but an absolute disaster. – Rafer Guzman, Newsday, Jun 22, 2012

Rotten: Don't let the stupid title dissuade you from seeing "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter." Let the stupid plot, the stupid history, the stupid action scenes, the stupid trivializing of slavery . . . – Kyle Smith, New York Post, Jun 22, 2012

Movie of the year

Do those critics really get paid for reviewing movies? I could write down random crap about good movies too, that'd be an easy job. But hey, they probably had this movie rated in their heads before it even came out. Don't listen to them. You need to see this movie, it's right up there with Avengers for movie of the year.
