About the Movie

Addicted to Fresno is a raunchy, uproarious comedy about co-dependent sisters (Judy Greer, Natasha Lyonne) who work as hotel maids in Fresno, CA. Shannon (Greer) is fresh out of sex rehab when her younger, overly optimistic lesbian sister Martha (Lyonne) lands her a job as a maid at Fresno Suites, the local hotel. When Shannon jeopardizes her fresh start by accidentally killing a hotel guest after a post-rehab relapse, Martha goes to great lengths to help her sister cover up the crime. Shannon finally learns to take responsibility for her actions as the sisters begin to resolve their tortured relationship. Fred Armisen, Molly Shannon and Aubrey Plaza are also among the all-star cast.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: "Addicted to Fresno" is one of those comedies that seem not to care whether you laugh. Parts of it seem openly hostile to the idea. – Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, Oct 1, 2015

Rotten: A mean-spirited farce whose strenuous bad taste seldom translates into actual laughs. – Dennis Harvey, Variety, Apr 25, 2015

Rotten: Beyond a few nice closing emotional beats, the whole enterprise plays too desperate and slapdash to whip up the goodwill required to sell such thin, far-fetched material. – Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times, Oct 1, 2015

Rotten: "Addicted to Fresno" is such a mean-spirited, dull and silly movie that it buries its talented cast under the weight of a horrendous script that they can't possibly redeem. – Brian Tallerico, RogerEbert.com, Oct 2, 2015

Only Funny Jokes Were About Fresno

The movie was terrible. I really wanted to like it. For such a star-studded cast I was surprised at how unwatchable this movie is.

Amazing

This movie was great. The actors in this movie are amazing and work very well together love Natasha Lyonne, and Aubrey Plaza.

A hidden gem

This movie has something in it that appeals to everyone. The story is about family and relationships. The film covers some dark topics but the humor makes light of them and makes it a positive viewing experience.

I wish the film was being released nationwide.

Anyhow, great writing, great directing and excellent cast. Everyone looks even better in person 😄
