About the Movie

The shadows of the past always tarnish the present. Marie embarks on a journey to investigate her unknown childhood, returning to the abandoned Russian farm where she was born. Drawn to this location after inheriting it from her long deceased mother, she encounters things far more disconcerting that lurk within those rotting walls - and a nightmarish family secret as the past unearths itself.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The movie sinks so deep into deathly atmosphere that there's no life to it. – Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly, Nov 6, 2009

Fresh: Eerie frights here are more a matter of sheer dread-soaked atmosphere. – Dennis Harvey, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: The relatively tame horrors on display here may disappoint fans of the director's gut-spelunking short Aftermath, which made him an underground hero on the abra-cadaver circuit. – Jim Ridley, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Not to be missed!

I highly recommend this movie if you have not seen it. Its originality and unpredictability make it one of the best horror films I've in recent years.

Awesome movie

I liked it, hope you do too:]

A good twist

This movie was quite scary and a real mind twist. I bought the DVD and will more than likely buy the digital version. It's good to see horror movies find new ways to scare instead of just some sicko hacking away. Just keep in mind, hell is never ending.
