About the Movie
In one of the most harrowing true stories of World War II, three US Navy airmen crash land their torpedo bomber in the South Pacific and find themselves on a tiny life raft, surrounded by open ocean. No food. No water. No hope of rescue. Against incredible odds, these three virtual strangers must survive storms, sharks, starvation – and each other – as they try to sail more than a thousand miles to safety.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: A groaningly tedious survival story that will at least leave you with a renewed commitment to wearing sunscreen.
Fresh: All three actors turn in solid, committed performances despite physically limiting surroundings, even as you're left with the inescapable feeling that this raft has sailed.
Fresh: Director Brian Falk, who co-wrote the script with Mark David Keegan, worked well with cinematographer Petr Cikhart to keep the story visually interesting, despite the limitations placed on the tale by the monotonous setting.
I haven’t seen a great WWII movie like this in a long time. Very inspiring and the actors all pull off amazing performances. I recommend this movie.
For WWII Enthusiasts!
Loved this film! I am a huge WWII history junkie and I found this film to be compelling and insightful. Great performances from the cast.
An intense ride
Saw this movie at a pre-release screening a few months back... what a thrill ride. It's shot in a way that very much makes you feel like you are a fourth person stuck on this raft with them, and YOU are as much involved in keeping them alive as they are. It will unfortunately be compared to UNBROKEN. The only difference is that this is actually way better. The actors each pull off amazing performances that are always the centerpiece of the movie. It's well-directed and a perect family-friendly adventure.
