About the Movie
Three-time Academy Award nominee Sigourney Weaver returns in "Alien 3" as Officer Ripley, the sole survivor of the spaceship Nostromo’s encounter with a deadly extraterrestrial in Alien, and subsequent victor over the Alien Queen after an epic battle in the cargo hold of the military transport ship Sulaco in Aliens. After escaping from the alien planet, the ship carrying Ripley crashes onto a remote and inhabited ore refinery. While living in the ore refinery until she is rescued by her employers, Ripley discovers the horrifying reason for her crash: an alien stowaway. As the alien matures and begins to kill off the inhabitants, Ripley discovers that her true enemy is more than just the killer alien.
Deserves its place in the series
This underrated Gothic sci-fi chiller deserves its place in the Alien tetrology (four movies). David Fincher's bleak outlook has since come to be celebrated in movies like "Seven," but in 1992 the last thing audiences wanted to see was the beloved heroes of James Cameron's "Aliens" killed off. If you can swallow that, then you can enjoy this movie's signature feeling of dampness, claustrophobia, religiousity, and dread. As for the ultimate downer ending, just keep in mind that "Alien Resurrection" will come along to redeem it.
not the best but it was still very exiting and good, my fav was the first, that ones awsome
Alien vs. Predator- I say Alien 3!
This was a great movie in that it was unbelieveably suspenceful and scary, but not insanely gory and thus pretty much any sci-fi horror or action fan should rent it. However it will NOT be scary the second time you see it. This makes it perfect to rent! If you could only buy it and not rent it then I would give it a 4.
