Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: A flaming, flashing, crashing, crackling blow-'em-up show that keeps you popping from your seat despite your better instincts and the basically conventional scare tactics. – Walter Goodman, New York Times, Aug 12, 2014

Fresh: The trouble Ripley has found this time is exponentially bigger and scarier than anything she encountered in Ridley Scott's memorably minimalist, eerily elegant 1979 film. – Richard Schickel, TIME Magazine, Jul 30, 2013

Fresh: Makes up for lack of surprise with sheer volume of thrills and chills. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 30, 2013

Fresh: It's blaster action, not Gothic future-horror. Fortunately, director-screenwriter James Cameron has shaped his film around the defiant intelligence and sensual athleticism of Weaver, and that's where Aliens works best. – Sheila Benson, Los Angeles Times, Aug 12, 2014

Best movie ever made

This movie changed my life.

Excellent Performed SEQUEL

Aliens far surpassed the first movie greatly, and its probably the best Alien movie "OVERALL".

An Extremely Terrifying and Satisfying Sequel...

Aliens surpasses the original in horror and alien action. Where the first put our phobias on the screen, this amazing sequel refers to the roots of the horror genre. The action in this is superior to the Alien franchise, even challenging Predator in overall coolness. Even better, we see more of the Warrior Aliens than we did of the original xenomorph in the first, and we get the real treat that all the other Alien films can never top, we get an amazing looking Queen that is believable in everything it can do. The special effects are astonishing! The acting is great too. Paxton and Weaver give great performances. The writing is great, harkening back to the first, and adding more than one would hope for. The only flaw with this film is that it's a bit too campy. Alien was new and we didn't see much of what was coming, whereas the sequel is pretty much predictable. Overall, this is a great film. Buy/rent this.
