About the Movie
A five year journey. Thousands of miles biked. Unlikely champions born. United by their renegade spirit and a determination to win against substantial odds, team members Mathew Hayman, Esteban Chaves, Simon Gerrans, Matthew Keenan, Phil Liggett, and Robbie McEwen show the true meaning of "All for One. " Follow the most tremendous Aussies on their long road to success becoming Australia's first ProTour cycling team.
An Inspirational Story
I went to a theater showing of this documentary. I knew a little bit about the team, most notably their sponsorship changes over the past decade and Matt Haymond winning Paris-Roubaix. I learned of Esteban Chavez in this documentary and now these guys are my favorite team in the pro peloton. Also because they have a corresponding womens team; which in this day and age I feel is very important. This is a truly inspiring story and film to watch and learn about. Five Stars!!!
Been a BSP (backstage pass) fan for some years and followed this team and the individuals. This movie documents a little more behind the inception, the hearts and the passion. Definitely worth a watch for any cycling fan and a great insight for non-cycling sports fans or spouses of cyclists or anyone that just wants to see a good story of passion, hard work, determination and success as humans. Jonesie was a part of this team in my eyes even though he views himself outside of it and refers to them as "they" in the closing comments. Includes a small window into what could be a great format for race documentaries of a different type, with the way Jonesie and Marcus put together the edit for the Paris-Roubaix segment. I'd like to see more races done with this lens. And, no matter how many times I see it, Haymans win always brings tears to my eyes. Truly a great moment not just for this team but for cycling fans of all types. Congrats Jonesie and OGE for changing the face of cycling viewing (esp for a US based fan who can't go see a race) through BSP and this film. Thank you.
