Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Superb, a brilliantly conceived, first-person masterpiece, totally immersive and compelling from first frame to last. It's easily one of the best survival films ever made, even with Gravity dominating everybody's praise.
Fresh: Mark his name down as one to watch. Chandor could potentially turn out to be as fresh and innovative a talent of the likes of Christopher Nolan and Spike Jonze in the near future.
Fresh: All is Lost makes the familiar strikingly new. The filmmaker and his star hold their nerve, refusing easy outs and making you look - and listen - carefully to a starkly pure piece of cinema.
Fresh: If you're slightly intrigued by the premise, find the time to see All Is Lost. It's taking a chance and trying to give us something different.
Great Home Movie
I wish I could even guess at what motivated anyone to make this movie. No acting, no plot, nothing. I was stunned that i sat through this entire home video and stayed awake. I'll break out my very old collection of slides next time I feel like being entertained.
Don't get lost, watch something else
Redford is a marvelous actor, but what was this about? Its endless and wordless.
If your kind of movie is a summer blockbuster filled with DC comic characters, then don't review or watch this. Good movie.
