Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: In its medium-stupid and mismanaged fashion it's not so awful. – Andrew O'Hehir,, Jul 17, 2015

Fresh: What, if anything, holds "Ant-Man" together? First, Paul Rudd, who is laughably unheroic, and has the grace to know as much ... – Anthony Lane, New Yorker, Jul 20, 2015

Rotten: [Ants are] pests, and that's just a weird place to start for a superhero, especially if he never strays too far from his origins. – Richard Roeper, Chicago Sun-Times, Aug 14, 2015

Fresh: The cast is better than solid. Directed by Peyton Reed, the action is a zippy pleasure. The more Scott shrinks, the bigger the fun. The visual effects are witty, especially when he begins making allies of various ant colonies. – Lisa Kennedy, Denver Post, Jul 17, 2015

It was hilarious the fight scenes were funny, creative, and amazing and the cameos and references were incredible.

It really doesn't get any bigger

Ant-Man was a visually stunning thrill ride that had perfect character development, intense action, and actually funny humor. Paul Rudd couldn't have been any better and the new villain, The Yellow-Jacket(Darren Cross played by Corey Stoll) was insanely impressive. You understood the bad guy. The move also pays off to the new Marvel film coming out in 2016, "Civil War". We get a ton of awesome cameos because of that. It was a great film and I highly recommend it to everybody.
