Beautiful Animation

The animation is crisp and very imaginative. The storyline is somewhat fractured and not as engaging as the visuals. The voice work is excellent. Overall, I enjoyed the movie despite some obvious inconsistencies in the narrative.

Beautiful for the Eye.

This a gorgeously drawn film. The story could use a little work, though. It drags a bit in the middle. But then picks up spectacularly as it become a most welcome tale of tragic hubris. It's most welcome because in America hubris is not considered tragic but, in defiance of the ancients, the cardinal virtue of mankind. We Americans desperately need to discover humility, and maybe films like this will help us to do so.

But where's the French Version? I want the French Version.

Haven't seen it yet but reminds me a lot of steamboy.
