Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Good macabre fun.
Fresh: Despite the fact that picture runs 118 minutes, Frank Capra has expanded on the original play [by Joseph Kesselring] to a sufficient extent to maintain a steady, consistent pace.
Fresh: Cary Grant et al are on sparkling form in this classic darkly twisted comedy.
Fresh: The film was adapted from a successful stage play and it comes across as very theatrical on screen, but once you get past that, there's an enjoyable lunacy to the whole thing.
One of the most wonderful movies
Are you kidding me? No one has written a review of this movie? This has to be one of my all-time favorites. I watched it as a little girl and was transfixed. The plot, the actors... there's so much win here that it's a shame it's not more popular. I highly recommend it.
you will not see a better black and white movie in your life
