About the Movie
Asia, featuring members of Yes, ELP and King Crimson, was the first supergroup of the eighties. Their eponymous debut album, released in 1982, was a huge success racking up global sales in excess of 15 million copies. In 2006 the original four members reunited for the first time in over 20 years for a series of concerts in the US and the UK. The success of this tour led to a full-blown world tour running throughout 2007 in celebration of their 25th anniversary. This concert was recorded in Tokyo in March 2007 on the Japanese leg of the tour.

Still Getting It Done!
The members of Asia are not getting any younger, but they are still getting it done. The 2010 tour almost mirrors this concert from 2007 and it's nice to have some video of two of the rock giants from the 70's; Steve Howe and Carl Palmer. You can clearly see in the footage that Steve and Carl can still get their licks in (and they have to be pushing 60), especially with the vintage 70-'s drum solo featuring Mr. Palmer.
Asia does not put on a light show or have special effects gimmmicks, but the music carries them with the sound and playing quality. Whetton hits all of the notes, as well as keyboard guru Geoff Downes, especially on his fun hit revival of Video Killed The Radio Star.
If you liked Asia, you'll love this concert. Two hours of Asia's greatest hits.
Wow! The original Asia sometimes lacked in the studio (too much production) but as a live performance band, music doesn't get better than this. Great camera work and virtuoso musicianship. This is my favorite concert video of all time! Now if we could just get ITunes to add Danger Money by U. K., I would be a totally happy camper.
