Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: "Asperger's Are Us" rarely stretches to be funny or poignant or touching, and that makes this documentary all the more of each.
Fresh: The four young men at the heart of this documentary will easily find a home in all but the hardest of hearts.
Fresh: You'll appreciate these dudes for making the effort to literally break out of their comfort zones in order to change people's views on autism. However, there is a strong possibility you may not laugh at or with them during this whole doc.
One of the best doc's in a while!
This movie left me in tears from laughter and joy! The comedy troupe is simply amazing on and off the stage. I highly recommend seeing this, such an incredible exploration into the minds of Asperger's Are Us!
Unique & Inspiring Documentary
This was an absolute pleasure to watch! The guys are hilarious, but you're also allowed a unique and intimate view of their boldness & vulnerability. I could watch them all day...I want more!!
This makes me so happy
Back in 2013, I had the honor of seeing these guys perform live, and they did not disappoint. Having Asperger's myself, I know that we have a very unique sense of humor, and the fact that it's now being recognized as legit comedy is really cool. I was actually in a few Spotlight improv groups with Ethan when I was high school, and I had Noah as a counselor one summer, so I can say I knew them when. I'm so glad this documentary was made. Good luck, guys!
