About the Movie

In the darkly futuristic world of Babylon A.D., the rules are simple: kill or be killed. Hard-hitting action superstar Vin Diesel stars as Toorop, a ruthless mercenary hired to smuggle a mysterious young woman from the post-apocalyptic confines of Eastern Europe to the glittering megalopolis of New York City. Hunted at every turn, Toorop spirits his charge across a nightmarish wasteland only to uncover a shocking secret that will bring the entire world to its knees. Eye-popping action and mind-blowing science fiction clash head-on in this hard-edged thriller, where the only rule is survival.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Babylon's plot is a lumpy mixture of The Fifth Element and Children of Men, while its dystopian future references Blade Runner, Dune, and The Matrix. – Adam Markovitz, Entertainment Weekly, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: [A] futuristic mess of biblical proportions. – Michael Rechtshaffen, Hollywood Reporter, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: When this Vin Diesel vehicle isn't pointlessly frenzied, it's narratively inert, wasting some decent production design, and a French-flavored cast primed for fun. – Tom Russo, Boston Globe, Nov 24, 2011

Rotten: An abysmal French thriller in which everyone -- Diesel included -- speaks as if they've learned their lines phonetically. – Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News, Jun 24, 2010

Babylon A.D

Excellent movie!! I loved the action in this movie!! The cast was the best!!! Good buy.

Good for a while

A great story and pretty good action explains the first 3/4 of the movie. After this point, it gets really boring and the main character does a complete U-turn. He went from this kick-@ss guy, to a secluded gentleman in a matter of minutes. I fully understand the complex story and everything, but it just runs out of steam at the end. It is a movie that you need to think about to fully understand but it's not executed very well. (click yes if you can't wait for the new Fast and the Furious with Vin as the star again)

What the HECK is this junk?

DONT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING IT
