Ray’s mother hires a babysitter, Anjelika, who quickly fills the voids in everyone’s lives. Ray and Anjelika quickly form a bond—but their entanglement is poised to jeopardize Ray's mother's master plan.

Love this film!!!

Saw this at SXSW last year. The kid from Parenthood is amazing.

Great Movie

Great acting, solid story and great characters. It puts the babysitter fantasy in perspective in an honest and relatable way.

Lives up to the hype

It's a rare thing these days to see a festival-hyped indie film by a new director actually live up to its praise. In my opinion Babysitter is right on the mark. I have to admit I'm kind of a sucker for coming-of-age indie flicks and while Babysitter fits that billing, it manages to do so without feeling overly derivative or templated like so many films in the genre. Its subtle yet potent, flippant yet insightful and, perhaps most important of all, highly relatable. Long and the short of it is you should watch this film.
