About the Movie

An emotionally open and honest film portrait of the biggest boy band ever, THE BACKSTREET BOYS, who take us through the highs and lows from boyhood to manhood that led them back into a London studio in 2012 to write a new album, make a film and plan their 20th anniversary re-launch. The reunion renewed friendships but dynamic shifts reveal new and old tensions that need confronting and resolving. Directed by Stephen Kijak (Stones in Exile, Scott Walker - 30 Century Man) this is a surprising and rewarding journey filmed over 2 years that delves into the extremes of fame/fortune, betrayal and renewal.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: "Backstreet Boys: Show 'Em What You're Made Of" is a film that only fans who are seriously overinvested in that once formidable boy band could love. – Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, Jan 29, 2015

Fresh: Even if "Show 'Em What You're Made Of" doesn't answer McLean's essential question of what men do after life as a boy band, the carefully crafted film is an engaging look at how they got to here. – Gerrick Kennedy, Los Angeles Times, Jan 29, 2015

Fresh: Fans will eat this up, though others will wish it delved further into the dark side. – Anna Smith, Empire Magazine, Apr 20, 2015

Fresh: The result is rather more interesting than you might expect. – Wendy Ide, Times (UK), Feb 20, 2015

Amazing!

I was one of the lucky fans to have seen the private movie screening back in August! I was seriously blown away and couldn't have been more proud of the boys. Throughout the movie, I laughed, smiled, cried, and sang along to their amazing acapellas and songs. This movie will leave you amazed and blown away! They really let you In on a lot of things about their careers and lives! Been a die hard fan for 18 years and proud of it. Definitely worth every penny and time to see this movie thousands of times!

Yaaahhhhh

I can't wait

Saw full preview & can't wait to watch it again!!

Early review since was one of the lucky few from the fan club who won a spot to see the full premier in NYC with the director when they were looking for someone to distribute a few months ago... A lot of surprisingly raw moments along with tons of fun old school footage and the Boys being their dork selves (you'll laugh, you'll cry :).... To be honest it doesn't have everything a die hard long time fan would want / expect (especially since it took 2 years to make and we know of more things worthy to show during that time ) ....but it's definitely a good balance and works for anyone even if not a fan!
