Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Predictability and cliches get in the way of comedy here, especially with a lead character who rarely comes across as more than blandly sweet. – Nicolas Rapold, New York Times, Sep 26, 2013

Rotten: It would have worked better if the silly premise had been played for farcical satire, rather than following the cookie-cutter rules of the romantic comedy playbook. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Sep 26, 2013

Rotten: A romantic comedy so light and brainless you almost expect it to float away. – G. Allen Johnson, San Francisco Chronicle, Sep 27, 2013

Rotten: Convoluted, predictable, and mostly unfunny ... – Peter Keough, Boston Globe, Sep 26, 2013

Funny and heartwarming yet predictable!

I went to see this movie with my son and we enjoyed the different characters (past bf) everyone was funny. Paula was adorable and perfect for her role! I give the movie 4/5 🌟 because although it was very funny and heartwarming. The ending for me was predictable. I knew who she was gonna end up with...but it does take you on a roller coaster ride where I even 2nd guess myself on who she might end up with! But overall it was a "new age" romantic comedy; which we enjoyed and will be adding to our home collection. Bravo 👏👏 to Director/Producer/Screenplay David E. Tolbert! Great job the cast was superb! Kim Coleman and Chris Gray chose the perfect actors for each character; from Jill Scott who was amazing and raunchy down to Ricky Smiley who had my son and I dying! Great job we ❤️ It!

Cute movie

I thought it was pretty good. Yes, it was very predictable and Paula Patton's acting was horrible, but other than that it was pretty good.
