Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: This tame, tepid road-trip comedy is notably short on laughs - save for a few unintentional ones when it tries to channel serious drama. – Dennis Harvey, Variety, Apr 10, 2018

Fresh: The scenery's pleasant and the actors are mostly likable. If "Baja" had been made in the '60s, it would have some kitsch appeal. It's easy watching, for anyone who needs a little mind-vacation. – Noel Murray, Los Angeles Times, Apr 12, 2018

Rotten: Vidal doesn't sufficiently mine the buddy dynamic. He's more interested in the romantic side of things, which would have been fine if his female characters weren't so boring and one-dimensional. – David Lewis, San Francisco Chronicle, Apr 10, 2018

Baja Lifts One's Spirit

Right off the top, I want to put out there that I have a very biased opinion. I am one of the producers of BAJA.

That said, I got involved with Prankster Entertainment and Tony Vidal because his stories are uplifting and positive... And BAJA is such a film.

It is light; and yet there are some great plot twists. Even though I know the story, I can still get lost in it... wondering if everything is going to work out all right.

As a friend said to me, BAJA is a fable - with an excellent moral. I think it has several morals, but that's splitting hairs.

This is a perfect family movie. Everyone from the 6/8 year-old to Grandma and Grandpa - and every one in between - will be entertained and enjoy the experience.

There is a lot I could say about production quality - all very positive - however, I think the main point is the movie stands on its own along with all the other studio productions coming out today.

See BAJA - I think you'll like it!

P.S. The cast is amazing! :-)

Fun Summer Flick

No, this movie won’t change your life. BUT, it is a completely fun and enjoyable film. More sweet and endearing than edgy...and absolutely loved the ending. If you’re looking for a summer respite from all the dystopian films out there, this sweet film is perfect.

Baja Movie

For a "chick flick" type of movie, I felt I was included as a senior citizen in the audience. It had positive older actors as well as the fun X-geners.

The story touched many aspects of life and was generally a fun flick.
