Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The miracle of the new 3-D dance film "Battle of the Year" is how it can be so relentlessly boring while there is so much frenetic activity on screen. – Miriam Bale, New York Times, Sep 19, 2013

Rotten: The actual dancing scenes are occasionally electrifying, if far too sparse, but other than that and the welcome sight of co-star Chris Brown getting clocked in the face, the film barely gets off the ground, much less sticks the landing. – Keith Staskiewicz, Entertainment Weekly, Sep 20, 2013

Rotten: A frenetic mess that makes Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloolook like a Fellini film. – Scott Bowles, USA Today, Sep 19, 2013

Rotten: Fatally frontloaded with endless training montages, awfully written, indifferently acted drama, sports-film platitudes and jaw-dropping product placements that only the hardiest of viewers will make it through to the payoff. – Andrew Barker, Variety, Sep 19, 2013

Battle of the year

Formidable

Really!?

i saw this movie in the theaters and it was terrible!!!.. 1st of all anyone who is a fan of dance would hate this movie, because its terrible. 2nd anyone who like good acting would be disappointed, because it’s terrible. But at least you can count on the music… HA! The music is the worse part how can you have hip hop dance movie with no hip hop music . you can dance to a soulless, mindless, 29.99 casio template .this failed attempt of a score or what ever you would call it made me walk out of a $13.00 movie

LOVED IT!!!!!
