An all-new, unrated chapter in the Battlestar Galactica saga, Blood & Chrome takes place in the midst of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino, The Borgias), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Though Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton, Alcatraz), the two men must set their differences aside when a routine escort mission with an enigmatic passenger (Lili Bordán) turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.
I'm a hugeeee fan of BSG, to the point where I would like almost anything. However there is basically nothing to redeem this film.
Acting - there is nothing believable about any of the characters, you care nothing for them, their outcome or any stories around them.
Plot - pointless
Direction - shocking, truly shocking.
CGI - the TV show far exceeded the effects in this firm, some of the scenes are so obviously effects it's like watching a classic B movie on the SciFi channel on 2pm Saturday afternoon.
BSG was awesome - so stop making any terrible fill in movies.
do not buy/rent
Awful. Just awful.
I watched this as it was released on the web. It's just awful. No plot. Horrible acting. Over the top lens flares that would make JJ Abrams proud. No resemblance whatsoever to the BSG we all know and love. If this is the future of BSG, and it's not because SyFy no longer has anything to do with quality entertainment or science-fiction, then remember the way the true series ended and stop there.
Tragic - an insult to BSG fans.
We are huge fans of BSG, so we were so excited when we saw a 'new' BSG film that we rented it instantly, but what a huge disappointment. This film is an abuse of the franchise. Weak to non existent story line, tragic acting, directing, and most of the CGI is laughable. Don't waste your time.
