The Bee Gees in concert
I have to admit that before a friend gave invited me over to see this concert, I had no idea which songs The Bee Gees sang, even though I knew all the words to some of them!
I cannot believe the talent of these brothers, and the obvious love from their fans, of which I now include myself. I have bought not only this concert movie, but MANY of their songs since.
Beegees are a class act!
Bought this concert in 1998 on VHS. We wore it out. The tape even got stretched in places. I grew up in the late sixties but was never a great Beegees fan. This concert will endear you to them forever. Since so much tragedy has rained on them, you will never see them as complete as in this gift to all of us music lovers. No concert collection would be complete without this one.
I was a young DJ in 1972 when I first heard the Bee Gees. Some of my peers even made fun of their unusual sound. For some strange reason, I immediately sensed something unique, and, despite a lot of abuse from my co-workers, I predicted that they would catch fire in time. While I happened to be right on this particular group - (and was deeply involved in their meteoric rise during Saturday Night Fever) I always felt their talent was extraordinary. Now, these many years later, I have a very special affection for this group and never wavered in my belief in them. ONE NIGHT ONLY is a video archive NO serious music lover or music historian should be without. It is priceless! And, Robin - we are praying for a full recovery of your health...
