Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: The movie identifies Ms. Shortland as a talent to watch. And it should constitute some kind of breakthrough for Ms. Palmer, who has not been given much of interest to do since she arrived in Hollywood a little over a decade ago. – Glenn Kenny, New York Times, May 25, 2017

Rotten: A nasty piece of business tarted up with a stylish, high-gloss veneer. – Chris Nashawaty, Entertainment Weekly, May 26, 2017

Fresh: Telling the story of a psychopath and his sex-slave, the film balances the clinical and visceral. – Noel Murray, Los Angeles Times, May 25, 2017

Fresh: Berlin Syndrome might look on the surface like a polished B-movie, a crafty and violent tale of a woman in captivity; but it's also the rare psychological thriller that feels not just taut and gripping, but genuinely exploratory. – Justin Chang, NPR, May 25, 2017

Stupiditiy To The Point Of Laughing!

First of all i like the actress and has not proved me otherwise, until this. Either she was a genious at being a horrible australian girl who had i am really really stupid on her foreheadyou hope she dies! I know that's horrible, but you will find out that she asked for everything that could go wrong and even managed to screw up what could go right. Open mind, this will either be up your alley or not. This is like touch and go with the genre. I myself would of put it in comedy, drama. Choose wisely, The rotton tomatoes i can't quite grasp but who the hell can you trust???????????????????????

Boring

This has to be one of the worst movies I have ever watched. Plot is predictable and boring. Character buildup and suspense is lierally non-existent.

Whoa, Teresa Palmer.

First, Teresa Palmer is a superb actress who probably deserves an award for this one. Second... Teresa Palmer is a superb actress who probably deserves an award for this one.
