A group of Maine dairy farmers, dropped by their national milk company, launch their own milk company in a bid to save their farms. Cooperatively owned by farmers and committed to price sustainability, the company offers hope for the future of small farming. But faced with slow sales and mounting bills, the farmers struggle to hang together long enough for the gamble to pay off. A FilmBuff Presentation.
Gorgeous, Moving, Entertaining
The story is so compelling, the filmmakers could've gotten away with a rudimentary approach here. Instead, they bring serious expertise and craft to the movie, and the result is a cinematic journey that goes way beyond your typical documentary. Gorgeous moving images, beautiful soundtrack, and a patient reverence for every subject - including the cows - combine to create a journey you as a viewer do not want to miss. I saw this film at a festival in the DC area and am so excited to see it available on iTunes. A+.
Know your milk
This movie gives the viewer a look into the hard life, labor and love of farming. I found it very informative and enjoyable.
Good film. Good milk.
I live in Maine and only buy MOO Milk. It really is better. This film is very informative without being preachy or overfilled with stats or figures. It focuses on a few very real people making difficult decisions. An entertaining doc.
