Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman (Best Actress in a leading role, The Hours, 2002) and wickedly funny Will Ferrell star as actors playing Darrin and Samantha on a remake of the television show "Bewitched"in this cleverly crafty comedy from director Nora Ephron (Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail). Egomaniacal star Jack Wyatt (Ferrell) casts unknown Isabel (Kidman) as his co-star in order to monopolize the limelight and regain his top spot on Hollywood's A-list. When Isabel, a real witch, discovers Jack's self-centered scheme, she conjures a sidesplitting spell the mere mortal will never forget!

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The Ephron sisters, sophisticates entrusted with a simple TV situation comedy, lose the magic of the com as they mess with the sit.
Rotten: What this revival needs is a good kick in the pants. And that Ephron and friends lack the low cunning to deliver.
Rotten: The artificiality of Bewitched is so exaggerated that it almost works in the movie's favor for the first 20 minutes or so, before that heavy synthetic Ephron odor really sets in.
Rotten: By the tepid ending, the movie appears to have been sedated.
what are you talking about?!?!?!?!?
this movie is great! it so funny and has nothing bad in it.... awesome actors too
It's a shame...
This was such a disappointment for those of us who actualy watched the original sitcom. Back then, it was a cutesy little show and it was meant to be that way; so many people enjoyed the romance, small plots, and hilarity of it. It was charming.
This, well, it's not. I guess you could say that the magic's gone?!
Bottom line: This movie's not worth your time or money. Buy the original!
I love Nora Ephron, Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrel - but they were all awful in this film. The makers completely ruined the whole idea of the sitcom and left out so many of its great characters (Larry Tate, for instance). It failed miserably in just about every way. Maybe Nora Ephron never saw the t.v. show before she wrote this. It could have been so funny and so entertaining and so romantic, but it was none of those things.
