Throughout his life Edward Bloom (Ewan McGregor) has always been a man of big appetites, enormous passions and tall tales. In his later years, portrayed by five-time Best Actor Oscar nominee Albert Finney (Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Erin Brockovich, 2000), he remains a huge mystery to his son, William (Billy Crudup). Now, to get to know the real man, Will begins piecing together a true picture of his father from flashbacks of his amazing adventures in this marvel of a movie.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: A compelling look at the relationships between fathers and sons, and the child coming to terms with the parent's mortality.
Rotten: A long-winded indulgence in tear-and-a-smile whimsy.
Fresh: For me, a Will who wishes she were an Edward, the movie inspired by the Daniel Wallace novel is a minor classic.
Fresh: Burton, who has clung to the trappings of precocious genius well into his 40s, demonstrates a new emotional maturity.
My Absolute Favorite Movie
I seriously cannot say enough good things about this film. It is very artistic in nature, and those who don't like movies in the abstract may wish to stay away. Many people have called this a movie that has no idea what it wants to be, but i think that is the beauty of it. It is not pretentious, it comes right out and says it doesn't make sense, and I enjoyed everything and anything it tried to accomplish. Bravo Tim Burton and co, Bravo!
A must see
This is a truelly wonderful movie and if the ending doesn't bring a tear or two I'd be amazed. Beautifully acted, great cinematography and a final scene you will never forget. Tim Burtons finest hour (so far).
Tim Burton directed it, is there anything else to say?
