"Two Thumbs Up!" rave Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper and the Movies. Billy Elliot is the heartwarming story of a young boy from a working-class family who discovers a passion that will change his life forever. Eleven-year-old miner's son Billy Elliot is on his way to boxing lessons when he stumbles upon a ballet class. Billy secretly joins the class, knowing that his blue-collar family would never understand. Under the guidance of his teacher, Mrs. Wilkinson (Academy Award® nominee Julie Walters), Billy's raw talent takes flight. But when his father discovers his son's ambition, Billy must fight for his dreams and his destiny. With Oscar®-worthy performances, Rex Reed (The New York Observer) calls "a triumph!" Don't miss Billy Elliot - the triumphant tale of one boy who reaches beyond his place in the world to follow his heart's desire.

Fresh: [Bell] makes Billy the angelic urchin joyous in a streetwise, unphony way, and his dancing, which fuses classical ballet rigor with a loose jointed pop showmanship, is electric.
Fresh: Bravo! to everyone involved.
Fresh: The movie brims with visual wit.
Pretty Good, shouldn't be R
This is a great movie. But it shoudn't be rated R. The only bad the in thing movie is that everyone says the F-bomb. Even kids. Not really a comedy though, more of a drama. I am a dancer and that why I saw it. I was not disapointed.
Great Movie, Not a comedy
I first saw this movie on the Logo channel on TV and instantly loved it. It is funny at some parts of the movie (like when he discovers his friends secret life), but ot mostly serious based and more of a drama than anything else. The usage of f-bombs is the real reason for this movie to be rated R, but other than that this movie is really not that bad when it comes to the rating department, This movie is completely worth the 10 bucks and more. I would recommend this movie for many people, and any one in need of a little insparation.
The Last Three Seconds
LOVE this movie. It's pure joy, and the last three seconds take my breath away! I cry every time. One of the most beautiful and touching films ever made.
