About the Movie

From Walt Disney Pictures comes an animated comedy adventure featuring a super-dog named BOLT (voice of John Travolta), whose days are filled with danger and intrigue -at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet - a cross-country journey through the real world to get back to his owner and co-star, Penny (voice of Miley Cyrus. Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and the help of two unlikely traveling companions - a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens (voice of Susie Essman) and a TV-obsessed hamster named Rhino (voice of Mark Walton) - Bolt discovers he doesn't need superpowers to be a hero.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: In the pre-Thanksgiving lull, parents can take their young'uns to Bolt, drop their 10-to-14-year-olds off at Twilight, and the whole family will have survived the weekend. – Richard Corliss, TIME Magazine, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Although it doesn't reach the heights of Finding Nemo or The Incredibles, it's a masterpiece compared with Disney's 2002 Treasure Island. – Ruthe Stein, San Francisco Chronicle, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: That it falls short of Pixar's lofty heights doesn't mean the attempt isn't worthwhile; indeed, Bolt is the most entertaining and well-crafted Disney Animation movie in years. – Dan Kois, Washington Post, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Belief may be in question for much of the movie -- only for the perturbed pooch -- but fortunately, enjoyment is never a problem. – Peter Howell, Toronto Star, Jul 7, 2010

Abosutley Outstanding !!

I give great props to all of the cast members. I saw it in 3D and it was amazing. I cant even begin to say how great this movie is. Bolt is so adorable and every character did such an outstanding performance and i loved it to no end. Excellent job to every cast member and again I loved this movie so much that I could watch it a million times and not get tired of watching it. Abosutley amazing and I cant wait to get it on DVD when it comes out !!! FANTASTIC JOB TO EVERYONE ON THE SET !!!!

Surprising Good

The ads for this movie had me peg it as a simple animated comedy, but it was much more than that. With an impressive mixture of humor, action and the kind of heart you'd think you'd only see in a Pixar movie, the movie satisfies on all levels. All in all an excellent film, easily comparable to anything Pixar has done. Oh and for people who might be turned off by Miley Cyrus's presense don't let it bother you, you can hardly tell it's her and if you don't like her and Travolta's song during the credits (I do despite not being a fan of her) you can always skip them.

Hate Miley,,,but still loved Bolt

Bolt is the best disney movie in years. It was cute, entertaining, and funny. I loved everything about Bolt! It was agreat use of my money. And I totally prefer it over the worst movie in history (aka Twilight). it may be animated, but it's a great movie.
