About the Movie
Do you know how to turn ordinary water into a billion-dollar business? In Switzerland there's a company which has developed the art to perfection - Nestlé. This company dominates the global business in bottled water. Swiss journalist Res Gehringer has investigated this money-making phenomena. Nestlé refused to cooperate, on the pretext that it was "the wrong film at the wrong time". So Gehringer went on a journey of exploration, researching the story in the USA, Nigeria and Pakistan. His journey into the world of bottled water reveals the schemes and strategies of the most powerful food and beverage company on our planet.
Good movie, unfortunately without subtitles. So you will neither understand what local people tell in interviews nor the german speaking CEO of Nestle. Pity!
highly recommended, but needs more facts
This movie is a great start in getting the facts out about the bottled water industry. But it should have had more information about the whole impact of plastic production and disposal, truck fuel, the entire supply chain, energy use (especially oil), etc. The distortions of the entire bottled water industry's advertising campaign is shameful. It is all a massive waste of money and resources.
Strong concept, poor execution
A very long 90 minutes. Starts as a documentary trying very hard to expose Nestle, but then meanders and moves towards many other water related issues, losing focus. And no subtitles for interviews...so you can't understand large segments.
