Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The carnage pushes you away (and wears you down), even as the genre, industrious cast, beautiful landscapes and stark, often striking visuals pull you in. – Manohla Dargis, New York Times, Mar 9, 2017

Rotten: Against all odds, Brimstone's a snooze. – Darren Franich, Entertainment Weekly, Mar 9, 2017

Rotten: For all of Martin Koolhoven's talent, a hifalutin exploitation picture like "Brimstone" has too much - and not enough - on its mind. – Owen Gleiberman, Variety, Sep 4, 2016

Fresh: Brutal in its depictions of violence, Brimstone is tough to watch at times, but never less than gripping, even as the clock creeps up to the 150-minute mark. – Jonathan Pile, Empire Magazine, Sep 28, 2017

One of the Very Best movies I've seen in a very long time, has everything and more of a what a Thriller movie should be.

. Intense . Great Action . Fantastic Acting .
. Great Story Line . Visually Amazing .
Five Star .

This is one of those twisted films that can have you quite confused if You don't watch every minute of it. I enjoyed it, but I like movies that are on the darker side. Life used to be simpler, but not necessarily better.
