If Carol Channing didn't exist, no one could have made her up. One in a billion, Carol , at 89, remains an unstoppable, megawatt dynamo. Broadway diva extraordinaire is just the icing. Carol Channing hovered at the pinnacle of the entertainment world from the late-1950's through the 1960's and beyond, living life sensationally large. As Carol has observed, '...if you're lucky enough to have two hit shows, the world passes through your dressing room'. At 89, she remains irrepressible.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Carol Channing is 91 going on 7. That is meant as a compliment.
Fresh: A celebration and a lament -- a celebration of Channing's seven decades as musical comedy star, and a lament that there's really no one like her anymore.
Fresh: A terrifically entertaining, smartly constructed trip down memory lane with one of the American stage's most legendary troupers.
Fresh: Dori Berinstein's tender but sharp portrait finds a lot of depths in the woman whom many see as a camp figure.
The Star Shines On
I just rented this from iTunes the other day. In spite of not knowing much about Carol Channing before watching this I throughly enjoyed the documentary. She's one inspiring lady! There's an honest joy of life that exudes from her throughout her career. I must confess to shedding more than a few tears watching her story unfold and witnessing the impact she's had on so many people. Life affirming, heart warming and inspiring.
