Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: It captures the awkwardness, loneliness and unacknowledged desperation that haunt us all but that are particularly poignant when seen among attractive 30-somethings. – Anita Gates, New York Times, May 3, 2013

Fresh: Displaying nerves of steel and a generous heart, helmer Adam Christian Clark takes a lot of chances with Caroline and Jackie. – John Anderson, Variety, Apr 23, 2012

Fresh: Much of the truth is conveyed in the two leads' performances, both of them itchy and disagreeable in the manner of someone trying to prevent a too-familiar conflict from bubbling up again. – John DeFore, Hollywood Reporter, May 3, 2013

Rotten: Before long, the film spills over into a ... somewhat questionable ... portrait of one hysterical woman. – Andrew Schenker, Time Out, Apr 30, 2013

Caroline and Jackie

Totally unexpected turn of events! And the movie leaves you thinking. So I don't give anything away I won't say more. Very enjoyable.

Shot in a very natural way, at first it seemed this film would be slow to get to the point - but it wasn't at all! The plot was very well written, the character development was great. During the whole film you are unravelling the complexities of the characters. I can't say any more, don't want to give too much away. Enjoy.

this is such a phenomenal movie, that I have been recommending it to all my friends. I think it's one of the most original and brilliantly directed indie movies Ive seen in a long time. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who appreciates filmmaking.
