Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: This is [Phillippe's] feature-length directorial debut, and the suspense isn't well orchestrated. – Nicolas Rapold, New York Times, Oct 9, 2014

Rotten: Catch Hell suffers from both a drowsy start and a dragging ending. – Rob Staeger, Village Voice, Oct 7, 2014

Rotten: The meta-narrative leanings of Ryan Phillippe's directorial debut almost predictably give way to self-congratulation. – Wes Greene, Slant Magazine, Oct 6, 2014

It's actually amusing how bad this is

And ya know why? I'm easily impressed. I like just about anything. But this honestly feels like they didn't care about the viewer at all. One big insult to whoever watches it. They didn't even try to have the story make sense or acting be believable. It's interesting to watch something so bad.

It starts off looking like it may have some potential simply cause Ryan is usually a decent actor but man. It's like they really just wanted to make a movie for the sake of having a paid vacation somewhere to goof off.

Ryan why you did this movie?

After watching this only one actor everyone know plays a major part and their is another one with a two minute roll. Still trying to figure out why Ryan did this movie. This is like a remake to a remake that was put on the shelf that should have not been made. Seems like watching one of them movies where a prior actor you have not seen for a while tries to comeback but, picks the wrong movie to do. Then you ask your self did this actor really took the roll for this movie? He should of did Flashpoint instead…….A made up script in the movie :)

First Time A Good Time

Ryan for a debut Directed Film... I give you 2 crocks up. I thought the story was interesting and it held my interest. Awesome thriller. Wanted to see more. The trailer sucked me in. Give us more.
