About the Movie

Laila is a teenager from a ruthless criminal family who has just fled from home with her boyfriend, Aaron. Laila’s family, who disapprove of the relationship on the grounds of religious principles, turn to a couple of mercenary thugs to track her down – a pursuit that takes them deep into the muck of the Yorkshire Moors. Described by the Wolfe brothers as a “modern-day Western,” the film is a tough, atmospheric, all-together riveting experience.

Dark Vision

Daniel & Matthew Wolfe’s film begins as a steady slow burn that quickly escalates into a sort of cinematic rollercoaster of suspenseful horror. This is a very dark, but unrelenting glimpse at current Britain. This film is not afraid of offending. In fact, I suspect these two filmmakers would be upset if we were not offended. Often shot in a bright neon candy way, filled with fitting music and expertly realistic performances, it should not be ignored or dismissed. One thing is for sure, viewers will not be able to forget this film. A stunning cinematic review that deserved a far greater distribution.
