His bright future is cut short when tragedy strikes and takes his dreams with it. Rotten: All this sets us up for a "twist" ending, but if you don't predict it a half-hour before its revelation, you surely must have nodded off during baseball practice. – Liam Lacey, Globe and Mail, Jul 30, 2010

Rotten: It's more of a demo reel for Efron than a movie. His predominant fan base, though, won't mind a bit. – Rene Rodriguez, Miami Herald, Nov 28, 2011

OMG when you see this, you will cry. Forget about Troy Bolten. Zac Efron is now a grown up star who is doing amazing movies! I read the book (the death and life of charlie st cloud) and loved it. The movie is disapointing if read the book, but the movie and the book are two different things. Zac will completetly melt your heart! Buy this and cuddle up with a nice box of tissues. The love between Charlie and Sam is so great that Charlie gave up his new release on life for Sam. Next we have the love between Charlie and Tess. It's obvious he loves her. Now he must choose. His dead brother or a future with Tess. Watch to find out!!

Don't listen to the critics, and give this movie a chance.

I watched Charlie St. Cloud a bit late, and even though I was excited about this movie, I came in with low expectations because of what the critics said.
But wow, I was surprised! It was actually a really good movie. There are a lot of sad scenes, and some which will make you cry. And Zac Efron has really stepped up his acting chops. There's also Amanda Crew (Tess), which is very pretty and talented and I'm sooo glad both of them have great chemistry. The relationship between Charlie and Sam is also very realistic. You'll feel as though Zac and Charlie Tahan are real brothers.
But I guess what I love the most, is the twist because at first, this movie seem a bit boring to me.
So, yeah. Charlie St. Cloud is actually a great movie and everyone should give it a chance.

Absolutely Amazing

I think that Zac Efron is an amaizng actor. Although I was not a huge fan of High School Muscial, and 17 Agian was pretty good. This movie really shows the actor that he is. And I look up to Efron, since he is the type of person that has class and talent, that most people dream of having. The movie has an excellent plot line, and the acting is phenominal. But it is a really sad movie, and you might want some tissues when you watch it. Definately my favorite movie. I can't fully describe how great it is!
