About the Movie
Following its successful world premiere in Sundance’ New Frontier program, CHARLIE VICTOR ROMEO was quick to get on the radar of forward-thinking, risk-taking programmers of high profile film festivals in the US and Europe. Based on a successful New York play, CHARLIE VICTOR ROMEO charts the fatal descent of six real airline crashes. With dialogs based on the actual black box recordings, the film shows pilots and airline attendants in the cockpit fighting for their passengers’ lives, and trying to battle their imminent panic. CHARLIE VICTOR ROMEO delivers the intensity and gut-wrenching emotion of these emergencies via the unique approach of live performance.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: One of the most terrifying movies I have ever seen.
Fresh: Charlie Victor Romeo defies one convention after another: A thriller with arthouse bona fides, minimalist in design but shot in 3D, it brings the original 1999 play to the screen in a fashion that's stagebound yet otherworldy.
Fresh: A taut, effective little picture whose dialogue consists wholly of transcriptions of actual cockpit recordings, most of them from flights that ultimately crashed.
Rotten: The performances are universally pitched at a to-the-rafters level that comes off poorly on camera, while the stereoscopic photography is more distracting than immersive ...
Respect from chaos
If you are looking for FX of crashing planes, this is not your movie. Instead, it offers a gripping look into the minds of humans under unimaginable stress. As the flight crews in this non-fiction story struggle with complex, terrifying challenges in flight, the chaos mounts and yes, as one negative reviewer said, the emotions go over the top (yours would too), but what’s revealed is incredible strength and resourcefulness. I came away with renewed respect for these people.
Different but still not entertaining
SAVE YOUR $$
Lazy film making to say the least. Rented this expecting to really like it. All scenes filmed from same angle, very unrealistic. All I can say is save your money.
