About the Movie
Single father and former cop Tom Carver (Samuel L. Jackson) has an unusual vocation - he cleans up crime scenes. But when he's called in to sterilize a wealthy suburban residence after a brutal shooting, Carver is shocked to learn he may have unknowingly erased crucial evidence, entangling himself in a dirty criminal cover up. Directed by Renny Harlin and co-starring Eva Mendes, Ed Harris, Keke Palmer, and Luis Gusman, Cleaner is a dark, gritty crime thriller that proves cleaning up is the dirtiest job there is.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Cleaner suffers from a distracting case of visual jitters and takes a CSI approach to fetishizing the messy nature of the human body.
Rotten: I did like the dynamic between Samuel L. Jackson and Keke Palmer. I'd like to see them play father and daughter in the better film.
Rotten: Low-energy and grindingly mediocre, it adds a whole new dimension to Harlin's wildly uneven oeuvre: tedium.
Good Acting - Slightly Predictable - Good Rental
I had not heard anything about this movie prior to seeing it on iTunes and decided to give it a rent. We rented it in HD. The movie has a good cast of actors - especially Samuel L. Jackson and Ed Harris. The journey the movie takes you on is slightly predictable but still a very enjoyable rental. While I would probably not watch it again (and as a result would not buy it) - it was worth a rent.
Superior cast, all very believable; excellent acting... can't go wrong with Jackson and Harris. Nice plot twists, though a little predictable. Excellent cinematography, a little choppy on super close-ups, but adds to the suspense. Nothing jumped out and said "well that was dumb", which is a good sign for me. Worth the rent if you're into cop shows. Great idea for a movie.
Different angle on the ol' who dunnit scenario
I really enjoyed this movie. It was refreshing to have a different angle on the ol' who dunnit scenario. I didn't find it slow at all - it grabbed my attention in the first few minutes and kept my interest througout! Definitely worth seeing!!!
