Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: "What a mess," one of the movie's villains says at one point. "Nothing's gone as I intended. Not one thing." He doesn't know the half of it.
Fresh: This remains a taut, haunting ride thanks to solid writing and directing by Zack Whedon (Joss and Jed's younger brother) and a strong, sympathetic performance by Paul.
Fresh: You've seen this sort of thriller many times before, and done much better.
Rotten: Most likeminded films spend approximately 20 minutes on the same material covered by the entirety of Come and Find Me - a fact that leaves this mystery from writer/director Zack Whedon (brother of Joss) feeling insufferably drawn out.
Awesome movie! Original and emotional thriller
This movie is a rarity these days. A sure-footed debut film that is both subtle and high concept. The power of it and the full realization of the story are held out until the very final moment of the movie and this is so rare. It has a bit more space in between the thrills and twists that allows an emotional power to build and pay off with a bang.
Come and find me
One of the most poorly written least likely to happen the way the writer wrote this train wreck of a movie. The writer needs to keep his day job . I demand my ninety minutes back .
This movie pretty expertly drags you back and forth between two movie worlds... one being intimate and real, almost as if you're in the living room of two of your closest friends, to an edge of your seat thriller where you truly don't know what's going to happen next.
While it is a "thriller", it leaves you with a feeling of positivity and (i don't want to finish this sentence becase it gives away something sort of important)... just go watch. :)
