About the Movie

You can't keep a good man down! Jason Statham is back as Chev Chelios - this time to retrieve his stolen heart (that's right, he's running on battery power). High-octane and truly electrifying! Also starring Amy Smart.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Crank: High Voltage, starring Jason Statham as a man with a machine instead of a heart, is boorish, bigoted and borderline pornographic. – Jeannette Catsoulis, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: The result, an eye-popping strobe of flesh and blood, is as visually stunning as it is absurdly offensive, sure to thrill some while leaving others in a state of outrage-induced catatonia. – Adam Markovitz, Entertainment Weekly, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Not everyone has a taste for gun-wielding strippers and Godzilla parodies, but for those who do, Crank High Voltage is like a 1,000-volt shot to the heart. – Sam Adams, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: As usual, Statham anchors the proceedings with his simmering charisma and impressive physicality. – Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter, Jun 24, 2010

Not quite as good as the first.

I loved the first Crank. For the longest time, it was my favorite movie. But this one doesn't quite measure up. It feels like a series of stupid comedys skits stuck together with a tenuous plot. Overall, depressing.

great film

this film is truly an adrenaline rush to the head
