About the Movie
At fortysomething, straight-laced Cal Weaver (Steve Carell) is living the dream-good job, nice house, great kids and marriage to his high school sweetheart. But when Cal learns that his wife, Emily (Julianne Moore), has cheated on him and wants a divorce, his "perfect" life quickly unravels. The hapless Cal is taken on as wingman and protégé to handsome, thirtysomething player Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling). In an effort to help Cal get over his wife and start living his life, Jacob opens Cal's eyes to the many options before him: flirty women, manly drinks and a sense of style that can't be found at Supercuts or The Gap. But despite Cal's makeover and his many new conquests, the one thing that can't be made over is his heart, which seems to keep leading him back to where he began.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: There's strong, fleetingly powerful stuff in Crazy, Stupid, Love., but like its awkwardly punctuated title, the movie jerks to a halt just when it's beginning to flow.
Fresh: It gets better and funnier after a labored and lumbering start, which is entirely the opposite of most Hollywood comedies.
Fresh: This is not the ultimate romantic comedy - the one that makes you fall as hard for the characters as they do for one another while savoring their every interaction - but it seems fresher and less recycled than much of the product out there.
Fresh: I laughed and I cried in this happy, crazy and spectacularly funny film that is one of the most enjoyable of the year.
I LOVED IT!
"Crazy, Stupid, Love" is, in my opinion, exactly what a romantic comedy should be. When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I was immediately pulled in by its all-star cast and unique multiple subplot structure. So I decided to see it in theaters out of sheer curiosity and interest. Little did I know that I'd be sitting through one of the most surprisingly charming and completely relatable movies of the year. Just about everything this film had to offer was simply fantastic. The actors (especially Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling) were endearing and sincere, the script was cleverly written and hilariously executed, and the dialogue was perfectly timed and extremely believable. I normally don't care for these type of movies, but in my eyes, "Crazy, Stupid, Love" is nothing short of a masterpiece. Through all the twists and turns, I practically loved every minute of it. And if you're a big fan of romantic comedies, I'm sure you'll feel the same way.
BEST CAST EVER. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in the same movie = chemistry overdose. I can't get enough. It's a must watch, people, must watch.
ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF THE YEAR!!!
I love this movie because it's not the typical romantic comedy we're used to seeing in today's movies. This movie gives you a different yet realistic POV from every type relationship out there which makes it very relatable to the audience watching it! This movie has a great story, the actors are amazing and very believable, & also this movie is really funny!! I only wish that there was a gay couple in the movie cuz honestly in the real world it's not only hetrosexuals that are in love & are having problems!:( But whatever This movie is still great & I suggest you buy or rent it when it comes out if you haven't already seen it!! HOPE THIS REVIEW WAS HELPFUL!!:D
