Armed with his genius as a biologist/physician, Dr. Wolper is intent on mastering the process of creating life... specifically in the form of his dead wife. All that's standing in his way is the university, the faculty, the laws of nature and about 20 local ordinances. But just when he is about to unravel the mystery of life, a sexy young assistant (Mariel Hemingway) moves in and captures his heart. Now, the only life that comes unraveled is his own.
Been my fave for over a decade
This movie is a gem that never got the kudos it deserved as far as I am concerned. It has it all: comedy, drama, and a little morality issue that may sway you one way or the other. The most interesting thing about this film is that it touches on a very delicate subject that really wasn't an issue for several years after this film was made. Unless you have no heart, there is no way you will not enjoy this film. For six bucks, why not give it a try? Less than what you pay for some of the really horrible films that are coming out now!
***If anyone has ever had any luck in finding the music, please let me know as I have been looking for it for years!!****
Sweet old movie
This is a sweet old movie about a guy who is having trouble saying goodbye when his wife dies. It's a lighthearted view of a sad topic. It's not spectacular but it's not lame either. It's just a nice movie. Don't know if a guy would like it or not.
This movie was never big in the theaters, but turns out we missed a great one. Pulls at your heart strings and brings you to the floor with laughter. The music is fantastic as well.
