About the Movie

For Daredevil, justice is blind, and for the guilty, there's hell to pay! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner ignite dangerous sparks and nonstop thrills in this dazzling action-adventure about the newest breed of superhero. By day, blind attorney Matt Murdock (Affleck) toils for justice in Hell's Kitchen. By night, he's Daredevil, The Man Without Fear - a powerful, masked vigilante stalking the dark streets with an uncanny "radar sense" that allows him to "see" with superhuman capabilities. But when the love of his life, fiery Elektra Natchios (Garner), is targeted by New York City's ruthless Kingpin of crime (Michael Clarke Duncan) and his deadly assassin Bullseye (Colin Farrell), Daredevil may be about to meet his match. Featuring Iron Man director Jon Favreau as Foggy Nelson.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: A collection of false starts interrupted by an awful lot of angst-ridden contemplation, the picture serves up soul-searching gush with scant pulse-pounding rush. – Michael Rechtshaffen, Hollywood Reporter, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: The numerous fight scenes have been filmed in Confuse-o-Rama, a headache-inducing technique that mixes a dozen too many cuts per minute, projectile P.O.V., and intermittent glimpses of the hero's sonar sensorium. – Ed Park, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: When Farrell's on screen, Daredevil becomes more than just a finely tuned entertainment machine. In a movie that will rake people in no matter what, it's fun to see something unexpected. – Ben Nuckols, Associated Press, Jul 14, 2015

Fresh: Much of the rest of Daredevil is so dark that you can't see it. I don't think you're missing a great deal. – David Denby, New Yorker, Jul 14, 2015

The Daredevil Elektra Love Connection.

I really like this original theatrical version of Dardevil . Theres the right balance of action romance. There has been criticism about Ben Affleck acting. In his defense , Ben and Jennifer do have chemistry that works and goes somewhere. You can see he is taken with her. Even Ben and Jon Favreau friendship works for thier characters Matt/Daredevil and Foggy. They are genuinely funny. It might have looked effortless but they are right on the money. These are points that make the film watchable for me .The action is definetly there. Whats most important is that the love scene is here. It is essential that this scene be in the movie unlike the directors version(although that version gives us more back story on Lisa Tazio's murder and Kingpin as a threat.)We need this scene where they connect on the roof and then to the bedroom. When Elektra meets her fate we feel for her and Matts loss. Its the Daredevil Elektra Love connection that makes this film work. Its the main reason I liked it.

This movie was, well, average. The acting, script and directing were all on par but there were some good action scenes that kept the movie chugging along. Entertaining middle-of-the-road superhero flick.

i love tis movie.
