About the Movie
With talented young stars, cutting-edge music and a full enrollment of laughs, Dead Man on Campus makes the grade. Tom Everett Scott and Mark-Paul Gosselaar play new roommates Josh and Cooper. Josh is the studious type, Cooper's the nothing-succeeds-like-excess guy--a lifestyle that rubs off on Josh and soon has both in danger of flunking out. But there's a catch: a clause in the schools charter awards A's to students who suffer the trauma of a roommate's suicide. So Josh and Cooper set out to find a suicidal roomie who is, uh, Most Likely To Succeed. There's no time to lose. It's a matter of life and death. And comedy.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: All three would-be suicides are over the top and fun to watch. Too bad the film they're in seems to have been at least partly written and directed by Beavis and Butt-head.
Rotten: As a satire of new-style collegiate types, this MTV production actually evinces a few germs of rancid wit. If only the laborious high-concept plot had been deep-sixed -- and, along with it, the cynically blah heroes.
Rotten: The trouble is that it's not remotely funny enough not to seem merely strained, silly and even disgusting in its ultimate endorsement of conning your way into academic survival.
Rotten: Dead Man on Campus, as you may have already wagered, is the kind of movie that's no good.
If you love Old School, you will love this movie. Zach Morris has never been this awesome! Cliff O’Malley is a pure genius!
Very funny. Not raunchy. Definitely entertains.
This movie is one of those movies you come come while looking for something else but it catches your eye, then locks you in. I was younger when this came out and probably would not have watched it at 44 but I still would not mind watching it again which brings me to the conclusion of my diatribe. I'm going to watch it again!
