Bad Editing-It feels like a 2 hours commercial
Ok, first off I love Joel's music and live performances. Second I'm not in the film/video industry so please excuse my incorrect terminolgy which is sure to follow.
Every time I feel myself getting comfortable with a particular camera angel or shot it cuts to a sweeping shot of the crowd.
I guess some shots of the crowd is expected but I swear 30-40% of this is crowd shots.
Second I have a very hard time appreciating all the incredible effects the production staff designed when no single shot will hold on Joel or the main stage for longer than 5 seconds!! It will constantly cut to the back of the stadium or random people in the crowd.
It feels like a 2 hours commercial!
Not like a live show where the progression of the effects are as important as the progression of the music!
I know this will never happen but Joel please have this re-cut by someone who can sit in one spot for more than 5 seconds.
In my opinion this takes away a huge amount from the show.
Oh my, yes.
I was at this show and I must say, it was absolutely incredible. The showmanship and lights alone makes owning this worth it, not to mention the groundbreaking music. He is the premier DJ of our time. Granted, I'm biased because I was there, but I still think any Deadmau5 fan would thoroughly enjoy seeing what this tour was like.
As someone who experienced this tour in person I have been waiting for the release of this set (and its revolutionary, stunning, incredible visuals) for months! Absolute MUST-HAVE for Deadmau5, Electronic and House fans everywhere.
